California is home to thousands of residents living in areas where their needs are unmet and lack representation to address their issues. These areas and regions are considered Unincorporated. We live in an epidemic of progress, where we find ourselves dealing with the ramifications of decisions made by strangers.This is the start of an artistic investigation into California's neglect by building out a landscape not of people but of their environments to see the palimpsest everyday people inhabit. This project focuses on patterns of the built, rotted, abandoned, and covered-up. It is a history of human impact. Before we were born, decisions were made for us and it shapes our futures. What does a world of consequences look like?
